So the girls finally got together for another evening of good food, drink, and laughs and we even had a couple of birthdays to celebrate.
Lizzie was in town this time, so we caught up with our resident Oregonian who reminded us all that no one wants to be looked after by a decrepit flight attendant.
This from the hot 60-something who used to fly for TWA and could probably still run circles around flight crews of today.
Speaking of flying, we had some interesting debate over airplane courtesy and what your paid-for fare should allow you to do. I say it should never allow anyone to leave behind something unspeakable in the lavatory; Becky says it should entitle one to fully recline even if the person behind you is encroaching on your personal space by virtue of having more "person" to share with others. We could determine no definitive solution to this and only hope that Margie does not encounter either atrocity when she flies out to Alaska next week.
Dinner was fabulous -- pork loin, potatoes, and tons of delicious vegetables from New York farm country (Margie's second home). There was asparagus, beets, peppers, (we have established that the group, with the likely exception of Margie, are all "eaters" as we left no veggie uneaten). We also got the chance to meet Margie's housemate, Julianna, who joined us for Jezynowka (brandy shots) and birthday cake, and may have identified the next possible suitor for our young (but now 24-year-old) Be.
I'm having trouble remembering all the great conversation so I'll leave it to the rest of the group to chime in with highlights of the night.
Of course, I insisted on a group photo again so we can have plenty of pictures to look back on. I expect we'll get a revised version of the photo once Juls can photoshop Kayte into it with us, but the one I'll share here is the X-rated version, with little Tanner (the only male in our group) showing us his goodies.
One thing I know: having good girl friends to share your troubles, your happy moments, and just your life in general, is a blessing to cherish.

Well it looks as though you all had a wonderful time! I hope AM has no personal space issues on her way up to Alaska in less than a week! At least iknow we shouldnt have much of an issue with personal space in the truck seeing as how its rather big :-) i absolutely cant wait to make this trip with her cross country... i really think we will have a blast! As far as the rest goes, it must have been a good night since it involved shots of "polish" haha cant wait to see you all!
We are all a little jealous of your cross country trek to come, Kayte! Take LOTS of pictures, take it all in and savor this adventure. It is going to be priceless.
We will have to have a Mamajusavibekalikali get together when you come home, so we can hear all the travel stories!
